My name is Scott Austin and this A Grain of Sand.

Why the name A Grain of Sand? Why something so small and insignificant?

One thing you need to know is, we’re small. And that’s how we like it.  I’ve been doing this for a long time ( I recently realized it was longer than I thought…) and one thing I’ve learned is to never underestimate the power of a passionate, dedicated, skilled, yet small team. You don’t need numbers to bring quality to the table. The benefits of numbers come in other ways.

“To see a World in a Grain of Sand.” That quote from William Blake’s Auguries of Innocence, is only a glimpse of the vastness of the endless sands of the Sahara desert, the billions of sand granules that clog our toes when we walk on a beach, or the deadly sand granules of a sandstorm! They say there are more grains of sand than there are stars in the sky.

Suddenly that grain of sand became a little less insignificant and little more impressive, didn’t it?
